sick sick sick

Our long weekend has turned into a long week, turns out Grace has a horrible ear infection/burst ear drum and all. So she's on a mega dose of antibiotics. Thankfully her lungs are nice and clear.
Took her to school for a little while today to take a couple of tests she'd missed and pick up some work she can catch up on. Mostly, in her eyes, to hang out during lunch. She has the best friends and just can't go too many days without them. It takes a special kid to be Grace's friend, not that Grace is hard to be friends with, she's got a very quick wit. It's just that she can't do all the "regular" teen things, she has gotten closer to a friend she made last year and I've noticed things about this gal that others probably would never notice. aside from opening doors, helping her when something falls and yelling at people that stare at Grace. She  actually sits when she carries on a conversation/ which warms my heart;most people don't consider what a person in a chair has to look at if you're standing in front of them when you talk to them. Grace has a fused back and can't look up high very easily, she usually has a nice view of your crotch or stomach, so of course if you're in a line in front of her she knows what kind of undies you're wearing . Now I know how self conscious you'll be next time you're around a person in a wheelchair. It's a whole different world down there in the chair. Weekend is almost here again enjoy!!!
